Ozashiki Asobi

Enjoy a full-course dinner banquet with Geisha entertainers there to make your night unforgettable. In addition to a delicious kaiseki dinner, you will be able to listen to the shamisen, play traditional drinking games and watch a Geisha performance. Called Ozashiki Asobi, this event is an important cultural activity traditionally reserved for Kyoto’s elite.

Rental Bike

Located just steps from famous Kitano- tenmangu shrine and within walking distance to Golden pavilion temple, Mosaic machiya is centrally located in one of the oldest Geisha district, kamishichiken in Kyoto.

  • No. You are able to use without reservation. Bathroom / shower room is available from 7-24.
  • Reception closes at 22:00. We give you the front door key when you check-in.
    Please make sure to bring the key with you when you go out.
  • No. You are only allowed to smoke in the smoking area in the garden outside the building.
  • Check in is at 3:00 pm and check out is at 12:00 pm.
  • If a room is available early you are able to check in a little early. If you are going to arrive after 9:00 pm please inform us ahead of time so we can make arrangements. The office closes at 9:00 pm.
  • No. But we offer some room plan comes with breakfast on booking sites.
  • No, but there are some Kimono rentals in the area.
  • Yes. We have some hybrid cross-bikes for rent at the property for \1,000 a day
  • Take Bus #50 to Kamishichiken bus stop or Bus #101 to Kitanotenmangu and walk 3 minutes to the guesthouse along the main stone street.
  • The guest can cancel free of charge until 3 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel in the 3 days before arrival.
